Introducing "Spirit", Our Cat of the Week!

This is Spirit - she was found by one of our volunteers on a rainy day roaming the streets looking for food.  Spirit was thin, soaking wet and very hungry!  She followed the volunteer around meowing and purring!  Needless to say, the volunteer could not leave her outside to fend for herself, so she came to the shelter.  Spirit is full of life!  She absolutely adores being with people.  She loves to be held, she loves to be carried around and would do best in a home where she can receive lots of love and attention. She will follow you around everywhere just to be near you.   Spirit is now spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and litter box trained.  Spirit is now in tip top shape and ready to find her forever home.  After reading this bio, you may be wondering...why is this cat still at the shelter?  Well, Miss Spirit prefers to be the "top cat".  She would do best in a home without other cats.  She does not share the spotlight well and does not like to share her people!  She did not seem to mind the dogs, but in her mind other cats are "Not Acceptable"!  We hope that there is someone out there who can appreciate what a beautiful girl she is and give her the loving home she so deserves.

In addition to Spirit, we have another special kitty we would like to tell you about.....

Introducing "Cluster" .....

Cluster was brought in to an animal hospital by her owners who could no longer care for her.  She was in desperate need of medical attention.  Luckily, one of our volunteers agreed to pay for her medical expenses and was brought to the shelter when she was healthy.  Cluster LOVES to give kisses! She adores being with people and would need someone who can give her attention - since she craves it!  She seems to do well with other cats as long as they are laid back kitties.  She is spayed, negative for FeLV/FIV and litter box trained.  She is a true sweetie pie and is looking forward to finding her forever home.
