  • Purple Heart Highway - 1-866-767-1990 - The Purple Heart Highway, PA Route 45, honors all wounded veterans and especially Lt. George H. Ramer, posthumous recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor and the MOPH.  The 100 mile corridor spills over to Raystown Lake and Danville, encompassing covered bridges and caverns, streams and lakes, museums and monuments, ethnic festivals, food and farmers markets, as well as camps and trails for all seasons.

Greenwood Furnace was a busy industrial complex, with all the noise and dirt of a 19th century ironmaking community.
